Shower before entering: To maintain hot spring quality and hygiene, you must shower thoroughly before entering the pool. No towels or underwear should be brought into the pool.
Enter and exit the pool gently: Avoid disturbing others who are enjoying their soak. Do not treat the hot spring pool as a regular bathhouse.
Stay hydrated while soaking - plain water or mineral water is fine - to promote metabolism and achieve therapeutic effects. It is better to soak multiple times briefly rather than once for a long duration. For first-timers, rest until you feel ready to re-enter. The second soak should be about three minutes. The recommended total is six soaks. After finishing, never splash yourself with cold water, or your metabolism will stop and you will have to start all over.
