Chairperson Chou Shui-Mei

I am delighted to invite distinguished friends from renowned hot spring areas across the Asia-Pacific region to participate in the 2016 Taiwan Asia-Pacific International Hot Spring Tourism Association - 1st Board, 2nd Session of Directors and Supervisors Fellowship Meeting and Hot Spring Tourism Industry I.T. Presentation. It is my great honor!

The Taiwan Asia-Pacific International Hot Spring Tourism Association elected me as Chairperson on October 31, 2015, witnessed by all members. At the 1st General Assembly, it was proposed that future annual meetings could be hosted in different locations on a rotating basis. I am especially grateful that this event is being held for the first time in Dogo Onsen, Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, Japan. Special thanks to Ehime Prefecture, Matsuyama City, the Dogo Onsen Ryokan Association, and the organizing committee for their dedication.

I look forward to promoting the international development of hot spring tourism and related industries, and strengthening the connections among hot spring businesses, leisure hotels, health and wellness restaurants, and local business districts. This year, we are actively promoting marketing strategies for hot spring tourism and leisure industries, with special emphasis on integrating emerging technologies such as smart business district Beacon deployment and mobile payment. In March, through the introduction of new technology applications, we developed the "Tech Witch Adventure" APP service, hoping to combine Beitou's service model and consumer behavior with technology, thereby creating and expanding diverse business models. Through the APP, Beacon broadcasting, QR code login, AR experiences, and marketing activities, we aim to link hot spring business district tours for Asia-Pacific members, attract tourists, and turn foot traffic into revenue. We further hope that through the Beitou business district demonstration, we can achieve the goals of "developing smart tourism, revitalizing the tourism industry, and enhancing international influence."
